Hello Pillar Family!
Thank you to our set up team, connections team, servers, and life group leaders for their hard & joyful work in making the inaugural Military Welcome Sunday the blessing it was! Sunday was a wonderful time of fellowship and food with several new visiting families. This week at Pillar holds several opportunities to deepen those connections. Learn how you can do that and more in the update below.
How to Pray
1. Pray for Pillar Jacksonville to be “unified in love” (Col 2:2-3) during their season of transitions. Check out the Church Planter of the Week Update on our Facebook or Instagram for more details.
2. We are excited be baptizing several believers as part of the service this Sunday. Join us in praising God for His work in the hearts of our church!
3. Come join us @9:30am Sunday morning to pray for our service, our leaders, and our congregation. Meet us in room 1108 !
How to Serve
1. This weekend (August 25-26) is the Pillar Norfolk Mission Trip. During this trip, our team will play a crucial role in offering childcare for a Parents Night Out outreach event, designed for military families in the Norfolk community. Sign up HERE. If you’re unable to join the team but still wish to contribute to the mission, you can make a difference by donating restaurant gift cards, which will be given to parents during the event.
How to Prepare
1. Our Greatest Hits summer sermon series continues this Sunday in Lamentations 3:22-23. I encourage you to read the passage this week!
What to Know
1. TenFold Youth Group: This Wednesday night @7pm (August 23) will be the End of Summer Pool Party at the Crafts’ house (4378 Spillway Ln. Dumfries, VA). Hot dogs will be provided. Please RSVP and sign upHERE to bring a snack to share. Contact Chris McCranie if you have questions ([email protected]).
2. After service on Sunday, we will be having a Ministry Fair. This is a great way to see how you can serve at Pillar, whether on a Sunday morning, or during the week! I would encourage you to begin thinking now about where you would be interested in serving!
