Teaching Pastor/Elder - Connect
Colby and his wife Annie have been married since 2001 and are the parents of Haley, Darcy, Gracie and Penelope. Colby oversees the teaching ministries of the church. Before coming to Pillar, Colby served as an associate pastor at Stafford Baptist Church (the church that planted Pillar Church). In 2008, the Garmans joined the staff of the International Mission Board and served for two years in Iceland. Colby is a graduate of Liberty University where he earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies and of Biola University where he earned an M.A. in Christian Apologetics.
Elder - Cultivate
Chris is married to his wife Amy. They have three wonderful boys: David, Michael and Peter. Chris leads and teaches our Youth Group(also known as TenFold). Chris also teaches Classical Conversations locally, and can be found creating new classes for homeschooling families in his free time.
Elder - Cultivate
Joe and his wife Cassie met at George Mason University and were married shortly after Joe was commissioned a 2nd Lt in the United States Marine Corps. They are blessed with seven children, Joe, Jackie, Jake, Olivia, Samantha, Rebecca, and Christian James; and they recently became grandparents with the birth of Mariangel. Over Joe's thirty-three years of active duty service, the Craft family moved 19 times and were active members of 16 churches, giving them a unique perspective on the importance of a welcoming, actively supportive, Christ-centered church family. The Crafts joined Pillar Church in 2017 and are passionate about knowing Jesus and making Him known through discipleship and church multiplication.
Elder - Care
Bobby is an active duty member of the United States Coast Guard currently stationed in Washington, DC. He has a passion for connection, fostering relationships, and seeing people grow in their faith and understanding of the Lord. He and his wife, Maura, have been married for more than twenty years and have the blessing of raising four daughters: Victoria, Genavieve, Vivian, and Juliette.
Founding Pastor
Our founding Pastor passed away on January 12, 2023 as a result of a small plane crash. The impact of his years of leadership and dedication remain as a continual influence on our church community. He and his wife Jennifer had been married since 2000 and have five children: Noah, Ruthe, Isaiah, Betchina and Moses. Clint served in several ministry positions throughout the Southeast before planting Pillar Church. He completed a B.A. from The Baptist College of Florida and an M.A. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Clint oversaw the fruitful church planting efforts of Pillar Church and served as Sr. Director of Resource and Research Strategy for the North American Mission Board.
Children's Ministry Director
Meg and her husband, Chris met in high school in the last century. The military (Army and Air Force) brought both of their families to the DC area when Meg and Chris were in middle school and high school. Meg graduated from Liberty University and spent 21 years as a military defense contractor. Together, Chris and Meg have 3 children: Campbell, Hudson and Liberty. They are involved in the local homeschool community and are both leaders in local Trail Life and American Heritage Girls troops. Meg serves as the Pillar Dumfries Children's Ministry Director. Her role is to come alongside families as they disciple their children. She trains new children's ministry volunteers, oversees Sunday morning logistics, and plans church wide events throughout the year. Meg loves to hike, travel and explore new places.
Financial Administration and Communications
Lindsey, and her husband, Brendan, met after both graduating from Liberty University and married in 2014. They joined Pillar shortly after, and have grown their family, adding three children; Everett, Alethea, and Elianna. Lindsey serves the church by aiding in Pillar’s financial stewardship and in completing various administrative work. At home she homeschools and enjoys spending time with family.
