Starting in February we are asking all of our Life Groups that are over 10 people to make a plan to have their men and women meet separately so that they can continue to meet in person. Here are some basics of the plan so that we can all get on the same page.
1. Follow a schedule.
Rotate back and forth each week between the men meeting and the women meeting. It should help limit some of the challenges often associated with childcare and allow for in-person gatherings to have less than 10 people. We have provided a sample schedule below. We would recommend you follow it unless you have some other plan already in place.
2. Choose a Resource.
We have provided some simple to follow resources that should allow your time together to be substantive and fruitful for spiritual growth. Choose one of the resources to use and work through it over a period of 4-5 meetings.
3. Identify Men and Women to Facilitate.
During this time we will need both a man and a woman in each group to facilitate the time together. I have provided a video below to help give some pointers about facilitating so make sure to watch it. Remember, we have a couple of simple resources and the pressure is not on to be a teacher. Just take some time to go through the content together.
4. Remember the goal.
Beyond working through the content, we believe it is vitally important during this season to connect with one another, hear how things are going, read the Bible, and pray together. Don’t put pressure on the gatherings, just make sure to provide an opportunity to care for one another. Keep it simple!
