Thanksgiving Meal

Sunday November 19th we will take time to celebrate Thanksgiving together. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus is often found leaving a meal or headed to one. Many of the most significant moments in the life and ministry of Jesus happened around the table with friends. Our family at Pillar does not want to be in such a hurry during the holidays that we forget to sit and savor the ordinary moments that make life rich. Connect with a friend, join with a neighbor, laugh with some children, help someone feel welcome and leave thankful.

Alyssa Mikkelson and Cassie Craft have taken charge of organizing the Thanksgiving meal, which will take place after service on November 19th. Please note the following message from Alyssa and Cassie:

We are looking forward to fellowshipping with our church family directly after service on the Sunday before Thanksgiving!
Feel free to sign up for one or two items to share. If you’re able, please consider signing up to bring a turkey, as that is our biggest need for the meal.
Pillar will provide the paper goods and drinks; however, if you are unable to contribute a food item, please see the categories of non-food items at the bottom of the sign-up.
Please bring a serving utensil (labeled with your name) for your dish. Please bring hot dishes in a slow cooker at 10:15 a.m. Tables will be setup and labeled for you to place your contribution on the serving line when you arrive. If your recipe is nut/gluten/dairy/etc.-free, please note that upon signing up, so we can label the dishes appropriately at the meal.

We look forward to our time together. This would be a great opportunity to invite a friend, coworker, family member, or neighbor to join us for this Thanksgiving celebration!
