Sunday November 20th we will take time to celebrate Thanksgiving together. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus is often found leaving a meal or headed to one. Many of the most significant moments in the life and ministry of Jesus happened around the table with friends. Our family at Pillar does not want to be in such a hurry during the holidays that we forget to sit and savor the ordinary moments that make life rich. Connect with a friend, join with a neighbor, laugh with some children, help someone feel welcome and leave thankful.
Shannon Strickland has taken charge of organizing the Thanksgiving meal, which will take place after service on November 20th. Please note the following message from Shannon:
We are looking forward to fellowship with you directly after church on the Sunday before Thanksgiving!
Feel free to sign-up for 1-2 items at the most.
Pillar will provide the napkins, utensils, plates, cups, and drinks (including lemonade, tea & water).
Please bring a labeled serving utensil needed for your dish and any hot food in a slow-cooker around 10:15 a.m.
We have a few chaffing dishes, so let us know if your dish requires one.
We look forward to our time together. This would be a great opportunity to invite a friend, coworker, family member, or neighbor to join us for this Thanksgiving celebration!
