Bold Moves Series

Our new series Bold Moves begins this Sunday and I want it to be a powerful time in the life of our church. Every moment of growth (both big and small) in my life has required a bold move, a decisive response, which moved me from thinking about following Christ in an area of my life to actually doing it. What happens in that moment is the difference between thinking that God is good and tasting that He is! In 2015 I want us to Taste and See over and over as individuals and as a church and discover again the satisfaction of a deeper relationship with Christ.

Here are three things I would like for you to consider doing for the month of January:

 1. Prioritize Corporate Worship: Commit to worshipping with us at Pillar Dumfries every Sunday this month. If you miss a week, commit to watching the Sermon by video.

2. Personally Respond to the Sermon: Each week there will be response cards associated with the sermon aimed at challenging us to individually receive the message and respond to it. Take time to consider the challenges and respond so that together we can pray for and encourage one another as we pursue God’s purpose for us in 2015.

3. Participate in a Pillar Connections opportunity. There will be two ways to connect with others in the body this month. The first is to draw a name from the Connections Box. The second is to select someone from the church that you have not had the opportunity to get to know and make a plan to spend some time with them. Both of these opportunities will be explained this Sunday.
