Pillar Snow Day – Online Event

Event details

  • Sunday | January 24, 2016
  • 10:30 am

The snow is piling up outside and we will not be meeting as normally planned so I thought we could take the opportunity to do something different and host an online event.

The event will begin online tomorrow(Sun) at 10:30am and can be accessed in two different ways.

Zoom – https://zoom.us/j/687666819 . By using the zoom link you can be one of 25 people to link up in a way that will allow for interaction and participation. Zoom is a simple video conferencing application that you can setup in minutes on your computer and use the link provided to access. The Zoom meeting link will open at 10:15am for people to jump on and join us.

YouTube Live Stream – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9N7v9VtBmM . If you do not want to interact but still want to catch the event, use the live stream link. The Live Stream link will also be our overflow in case we have more than 25 households join us. Feel free to share the links freely on social media.

For a little extra fun, we will be using the hashtag #PillarSnowDay. When you jump online to join us, take a picture of your family and share it using the hashtag.

Here is what you can expect from the #PillarSnowDay web event:

In addition to beginning with prayer and Scripture Reading…

Teaching: Using Questions to Engage in Spiritual Conversations: We are going to look at how Jesus used questions to deepen spiritual conversations, challenge people who were opposing his teaching, and open opportunities with people who started off closed. At the end I am going to share with you the most valuable tool I have in my toolbox for talking with others about Spiritual issues.

Live Q and A: Annie and I will be doing a live Q and A about the teaching, and anything else you want to ask.

Interview: Annie recently finished her book Unexpected Grace about our experience of having a daughter with a complex congenital heart defect and how it impacted our faith. I will be interviewing her about the big lessons and she will share a few excerpts.

I hope you will join us,
Colby Garman
